What’s in this release?
For a detailed list of changes, check out the patch notes. The manual is also worth a look – especially for the bits that the current in-game tutorial doesn’t cover.

Good news on the customisable key bindings. I hate WASD and prefer the arrow keys so one of the first things I noticed on the prior release is the lack of ability to change that.

How significant are the RPG elements? From the videos I've seen, it almost looks like a straight action\shooter.
If you're interested, there's a roadmap for the implementation of some upcoming features.
