As far as Dungeons of Daggorath… that is the proverbial 'fish' that got away. I had a TRS 'Trash' 80 (not sure why it got that label I thought it was a decent little computer) and bought Dungeons of Daggorath but could never get it to run right.
Here's a link to a page dedicated to DoD, as well as a free Windows port. I don't think anyone would be too impressed by it now though.

Thanks for the link JD… now that is a trip down memory lane. Those graphics take me back to the early 80s in an instant. Funny how fast I was able to download it, install it, and get it running.
I had that game on tape and wrestled with it forever and never could get it to load right.

most worthwhile:
Id go with Gothic I for most worthwhile. Many people didnt stick with the game for very long because of the "different" controls. I was one of them. I just couldn't get the hang of them at first and shelved the game. One night I was searching around for something to install and try to get through (I have total ADD with games and rarely get through most of a game before trying something else). One night I reinstalled Gothic I, got to the swamp camp(I think it was the first one I got to…its been a long time) and was totally engrossed with the living breathing world right up to the very end. Having played 2 chapters in Gothic II without NotR, then restarting with NotR, I can say I don't get that same feeling I had with Gothic I
most pleasure:
I would probably go with VtM:Bloodlines (at least the first 75% of it) if only for the dark and gritty world, which was a refreshing breath of fresh air from the generic humans and elves and dwarves oh my! Even though the end parts were almost pure shooter, I was still hooked till the end. Ive yet to go back through it as a Malkavian though……..
biggest impact:
Without a doubt it was Wizardry I : Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord on my IBM PC Jr. My first "role playing" experience on a computer after dabbling here and there with PnP games with friends. I still remember telling people about the epic battles my party would go through, explaining every battle sequence and seeing it play out in my mind

So many games that have had an impact on me, but overall I would say Morrowind has had the biggest. I haven't played the game for a few years now and still remember everything like it was yesterday.

What game do you consider to be the most worthwhile? What gave you the most pleasure, and what made the biggest impact?
Personally:
Pool of Radiance from SSI
For me, I'd say the first Fallout.
Another choice might be the Gemstone III MUD from Simultronics, which i started playing on AOL. Last i checked, it was still around (Gemstone IV).
