Enclave is on sale today at Good Old Games for less than $3. I just downloaded it and am installing it now.

Any opinions about this game? I couldn't pass it up for less than $3.

an enjoyable port of an action game with rpg elements. the story is horrible though, thankfully the level design and different characters help it. its somewhat unique gameplay helps it in what would be otherwise be a mediocre game compared to other action or action rpg fare on the pc.

Just tried it out for about five minutes. I'll play it more tomorrow.

Feels like Morrowind level combat, but the graphics are pretty nice, and it runs smoothly.

$3 is so damn tempting. I'll probably cruise through it on Easy mode just to see the sights.

Lol I bought it at first release, and I enjoyed it pretty much… I really liked the fact that you could play both factions, each one with different characters, and completely different end game bosses.

Imo, Enclave had the potential to be a solid dungeon-crawling action game with decent-sized (and good-looking) levels to explore, but this potential was let down by a mediocre combat system. Still, for $3 or less it's certainly worth playing for a while - just don't expect to be blown away by it.

I agree, the combat is a massive let-down considering that the game is as pure a hack'n'slash as they come.

The dark art style and the levels do provide some fun, it is just not as good as it could have been, which is a shame really. The multiple characters are a neat idea on paper, but because of the simplistic combat the differences are almost negligible.

There is a goblin in it that speaks swedish. He begs for coins. The musician was known as LizardKing on the Amiga Demo Scene. I still have the mp3 I ripped from the game.
