Be careful with sprinting. Somehow it gets messed up sometimes after I mine something. I'll push the button down and it'll sprint for about a second then stop even though I am still pushing the button. I am not 100% that it is connected with mining, but it's happened three times now. Every time it was after I had mined something.

You can get bugged when sprinting if you have a weapon in hand also. It doesn't happen every time, but when it does it's quite annoying. I've seen it when I used to mine also, but I've not done that in a week or so.

Combining sprint with the whirlwind shout is even better.

Gotta luv the whirlwind shout, and slamming against your companion ("hey, watch out"), or damaging yourself by bouncing off a basket.

I heard a funny (alarmed) comment from one of the guards the other day. I saw them fighting some bandits near Whiterun and decided to help them out. As I charged in, I prepared a fireball spell. However, the guards dropped the bandits just as I got to them. I stopped by one of guards with a crackling fireball still held in my hands. Just before I shot the now redundant fireball off into the sky, the nearest guard exclaimed, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Watch than magic!" Loved it!

I've walked past guards while shrouded in a Flame Cloak before and heard him say to be careful with fire.

They'll do that with other fire spells too. They also react to which high skills you have, for example if you use 2H weapons a lot they'll say: "The gods gave you two hands, you place them both on your weapon. I can respect that." Or some such thing.

That being said, I'm a bit surprised at how much guards know. They seem to be near omnipresent and Skyrim lore specialists given some of their comments about the Dragonborn, the Dark Brotherhood, etc.

Did you know that it's possible to "sprint" in the game? I just now figured it out, surely could have used it earlier. Makes getting around quicker!

I was 20-40 hours in before I discovered sprinting, it really isn't obvious!

The sprint key was default mapped to ALT oddly enough. I remapped to SHIFT and it became most natural…
