Sounds like a form of reality satire. Like Skeletons sitting in front of a TV screen, sort of ?
Long ago, I just lost weight through going by bike every day and eating less than i used to. Combined, this is what worked for me. The only problem, then, is how to get the essential stuff into the body - like minerals and vitamins. Drinking a lot is essential !

Playing Kinect games all day long might help. Playing online games, though …?

That's why I wrote about skeletons sitting in front of the screen …
The interesting thing is here, that the reward which is coming through games is regarded as a more desireable thing than hunger and thirst - food, in short.
And don't forget that there are evil "farmers" out there who are forcing people do play online games for gold farming …

When I was younger, I had a tendency to not eat as much when I was wrapped in games, so it can work for some people. You certainly won't be fit, but for some, losing weight is more important than being fit. Now days I do Cross-fit three to five times a week. Check it out, it's pretty painful, but it's also very quick. If you actually join a gym for it, there's a good social aspect to it and it can be very addicting. It's a much better way to stay healthy than video games

Some game manuals actually have a notice in it to make several pauses and not to "game" excessively (spelling ?).
