There's a difference between general rule and exception.
I don't see the point on arguing exceptions.

Damn you, now I need a new pair of underwear This was freaking epic. I'm anticipating this one even more than The Hobbit.

Wheel Of Time…… IMHO opinion it is the best fantasy series ever written by far. It would also make a great movie, because the books are very picturesque.

I've tried getting through the first book, but I just can't. I like the story, I like the characters. I don't know, maybe it's just that the writing seems to be overtly detailed, when it doesn't need to be. While this was fun at first it became like filler in the storyline for me. It's like what they do on TV shows to get to the 45 minute line, by making the person go through a long corridor for 2 minutes. It just wastes time for no reason.

I don't need to know that Johnny's hair was so curly that when the wind blew through it it made it wave in the most spectacular of senses, which made the girl look at him with her brown hazelnut mocha eyes. When the other boy saw that the girl was looking at the curly haired boy, he thought to himself that maybe if he had curly hair then the girl would like him better.
The above isn't in the book, but that's how it sometimes feels like to me.

I think that context can already tell me if the girl likes Johnny and that the other boy likes her too. Like I said, it seemed very nice at first all this detail, but for me, it got in the way of the story.
