ToEE - Party Suggestions?
December 29th, 2011, 22:33
Yesterday I bought it from GOG.com (finally, I say), and, like the title says, I'm very undecided about the party. I've just started with:
-Barbarian
-Fighter
-Cleric
-Rogue
-Sorcerer
I think it's pretty balanced; still, considering that it's my first playthrough, any advice would be helpful. Thanks a lot guys!

A Cleric is imho essential.
A Rogue - good for disabling traps.
A Druid can do some good things and is able to … trigger some nice things, too (don't want to spoil you).
I found especially the druid's spell of … what's the name ? plants coming/growing out from the ground and entangling enemies (or at least hindering them) … quite good. It helped me slow down the enemies quite a lot of times.

I just made a half-orc barbarian, halfling rogue, human wizard, dwarf cleric and half-elf bard and am having a good time with 'em. Well, as good as one can get. Hommlett is still the most boring sequence of events I've ever experienced in an RPG.

Looks like a solid party to me. I used a dwarven cleric and he really held his own in combat, not to mention his healing abilities. I didn't use a druid but, if I ever replay it again, I think I'll include that class just to see what might be different.

There is one little thing that I think you'll like when you play a Druid …
But that comes only a lot later - when you are really deep into … the main thing.
