Default Battle.net hacked - change your password

August 10th, 2012, 04:34
Blizzard has announced that hackers have gotten access to password hashes (hopefully salted) and other account information like email addresses. Credit card info seem to be safe.

Edit: Interestingly they use SRP for authentication according to HN which is pretty serious stuff so I'd say unlike with yahoo and linkedin your stuff is probably safe except for the other meta data being exposed. (Should this be moved to off-topic?)

Not the first or last time. Nothing is hack proof especially battle.net.
