Conclave funded!

I'm not sure if anybody cares or was paying attention, but RPGWatch mentioned it when their Kickstarter started. That's when I decided to jump in and I've been having a good time with it, so I backed.
It really didn't look like they were gonna make the $75k for a long while, but in the end they did. So just so you know. They probably had some acquaintances with some cash to get them over the finish line at the end like I suspect most of these projects do.

Good for them.
I also think these are a way to attract investors. Showing some existing capital already behind your project would be a great selling point.

Yes, I noticed that most projects start out with a good chunk of cash already. It's also widely known that many projects get a huge spike at the end. While this may just be people waiting until the very end to finally give in because they really want to see the project get funded but did hesitant to put their money in before, it's almost like they pour some of their own money in to make the chance of succeeding that much bigger.
I'm sure Kickstarter has rules around that, but who can tell if you've got a few friends doing it for you? Just set aside some $5000 for if it's a close call… and it was a close call, with 101% funded.

I don't know, it is kinda like cheating, though. You can shoot high and if things aren't going so well, throw money at it and get at least the pledges that are there. I guess you'll always have to have a project goal of (money that you need) - (money that you have), huh.

BTW, as part as my Kickstarter pledge, I have one gift license granting the same unlimited access to the beta and full access to the campaign quests when they're complete that I have. If someone's interested, let me know.
