Has anyone heard of this? Looks promising.

Turn based D&D grid combat? Yes please. Why the heck isn't this more common?

It does look really promising, but last I heard it is just a quick arena battle game right now. Is that still the case? If/when they add an extensive campaign or what not, I'd love to try it.

I may even pick it up now, and I never do EA games. It looks like *exactly* what I've been looking for in terms of a grid-based, turn-based combat system using D&D rules.

I could imagine this having immense potential, and from what people are saying at $4 it's fun even now.

If you do pick it up, feel free to let us know how it is.

In terms of a game similar to this, you may want to check out the IceBlink modules as well. They are old-school, turn-based "Gold Box"-style modules. Worth a peek.

I've read about them here. Looks good but I need everything to come from Steam or GoG to stay organized.

I usually just add games to Steam as non-Steam games for that. It shows up in the Steam UI then and I can keep track of it easier that way.

I picked it up, because its cheap. At this point its only a tactics game. I hope when it exits early access there is some sort of campaign.

What do you think of the tactics game as it is, using the D&D OGL, lor?

Or some tools for users to build their own campaigns. That would be cool. But at least a base campaign would be necessary for me to check it out more.

I've got this one

It's good fun. The encounters are a little boring. The bosses have all been a red beatles and my party is level 11. We're so starved for D&D tactics games, though, that its worth having. The first few levels come pretty slowly but it's fun by the time you have fireball. It's a bit easy before the enemy casters start to appear.

I have no idea why there are so few D&D games around when this game shows how simple it is to make fun turn based combat.

The reason is - you can't earn $ by streaming it.

Demons Age is a tactical AD&D game. It doesn't have a ton of depth outside of combat, but the fighting is pure AD&D. Don't ask Fluent his opinion though
