Steam sale this week: JA2 gold $5 amongst others

many games for $5. i've never bought any game through steam but i might have to pick up jagged alliance 2 that i know many here are fans of. would i be missing alot by not getting a manual?

I imagine it would come with a PDF, at least it did when I bought the jewel case version a few years ago.

Funny, cuz I picked it up in the box years ago for that much. I don't think it was the gold version though.
