Should i finish The Longest Journey before dreamfall?

So im at chapter 5 in dreamfall when i suddenly realize by surfing the web that its a sequel to a critically acclaimed game called The Longest Journey. Now i dont know what to do. Should i finish longest journey first so i dont spoil dreamfall?

I think you should. Do note though that The Longest Journey is a very different game than Dreamfall. It's a pure point & click, so if you don't like those types of games, it might be worth continuing with Dreamfall.
