Face it I just don't fit into Bioware RPG world and I am fine with that. I don't facebook, I don't twitter nor do I care about their games.

Doesn't something have to move forward to represent progression?

Wow, that's awful.
But actually stuff like this never happend to me. Only once or twice with spiders. So for me it's not DA:Bears, but rather DA:Spiders.

Aha looks like an infinity bear, I never actually met that I usually saw very few bears actually lol.

What I did find funny was the basically endless respawning Giants in that elven graveyard.
They were easy and gave tons of xp for a long time.

Yeah, I still think DA:I's respawning was buggy and this behaviour is not intended.

Best way to avoid these bugs as a developer: Don't do respawns.

Watch (and listen) at least first 3 minutes.
That's 10/10 game - by Escapist.
GOTY by numerous sites.

And because that game is so goooooooood, I don't want to see another bear in my life again.
I suggest you skip an Ogre cave in PoE than
Especially if you plan to play it on Hard.

I don't use Facebook or Twitter either. Also, I don't upload powerfully erotic photographs of my junk to the iCloud.

It made me think, though, when you said "Face it", like that. I wonder if you think I'm trying to criticize anyone's personal subjective opinion, or change their mind.

I'm only arguing with the objective criticism that HHR made about the standard of romantic writing. I wonder if this is a cause of friction sometimes - that people take arguments against objective points to be a criticism of their subjective view.

Same, never used defacebook myself, nor twatters. Two inventions that the world could do without. And Bioware jumped into that category as well, starting with Dragon Age 2.

.
I was not thinking of any one person when I posted that. It was more to the point that I just don't fit into Bioware's market or direction. The examples of me not using facebook and twitter just to point out this direction that most seem to be happy with or I feeling that is mass appeal Bioware has moved towards.

To this point it though at the end of the day it doesn't matter to me in any way if people enjoy the above mentioned. If people are happy playing their games that is fine they are tons of older games I still haven't played or don't mind replaying. Also the RPG market of new games is better than it ever has been. So I have a ton of choices to play.

They haven’t always gotten this right, as we witnessed when queer players were exiled to their own remote gay planet in Star Wars: The Old Republic…

Star Wars as per Bioware is the gayest franchise of all time. Every male character is forced to dress like he is a gay man. Fashion options that don't include ballet leotards or dresses (or some combination of the two) are virtually non-existent, going all the way back to KOTOR. But at least in TOR they did the 3D male models in a way that seemed more masculine. In the KOTOR games, male characters had wide hips and narrow shoulders, and an odd way of moving that, I assume, combined with the weird men-in-tights thing, was found appealing by whoever runs or ran Bioware's art department. I suppose there probably are a lot of gay men working in art departments at game companies, but they shouldn't be permitted to introduce their own prejudices into games they help develop. Anyway, Bioware has some weird stuff going on with the sex in their games. I personally don't think it is a good idea try to make sexually explicit games that simultaneously appeal to both the hetero gamers and gay gamers. That seems near as silly as trying to make porn that was liked by both gay men and straight men. But whatever. I suppose Bioware thinks there is no part of the lowest common denominator that they can't get to. It's worked so far, right?

…but there is a refrain of sexual liberation that you don’t find in other big studios’ games.

An odd turn of phrase. How is it any more liberating to have explicit homosexuality imposed on straight gamers than it is to have explicit heterosexuality imposed on gay gamers? Seems to me that if they choose to have both explicit gay sex and explicit hetero sex, there is no possible gamer that won't be made uncomfortable by the fetishes of Bioware developers. If they really need to have the explicit sex in their games then why not have it unlocked in one of 3 ways:

1) no thank you
2) gay
3) straight

If the content for both is already there then it would hardly take any work to add some filtering tags, would it? Consent is good, right? Non-consent is bad, right? (or is it liberating?).

Online in an MMO is whole different can of worms. And I really don't see why Bioware even has to go there with a computer game. I can't imagine anybody who has actually had sex more than a few times finds Bioware's lame ass sex scenes very exciting. Almost seems like they are adding the sex to appeal to youngsters, doesn't it?

It actually is exactly like this (in DA:I).
The keys to these locks are clearly marked dialog options.

The thing is that if I play a dungeon crawler, I don't get NPCs stopping me to say it is wrong to kill monsters, or telling between themselves that they're going to stop killing any monsters. I also don't get to be exposed to months of articles from dozens of clickbaiting blogs saying that X dungeon crawler is admirable and progressive for making a game about non-violence and if you don't wholeheartedly with this agenda then you're a horrible person and you need to feel bad. I'm pretty sure I would be compelled to stop playing that dungeon crawler if that were the case.

OK, so you don't want NPCs in a dungeon crawler opposing monster slaying; that is, you don't want characters in the game contradicting the clear intent of the game. So, by that logic, having sex in the game would be a problem if the game were… a celibacy simulator?

It would be a problem if a game, which I purchased to be entertained, is used to promote political agendas and rub them in my face.

Political agenda? Sorry - human rights and equality are core values of our country (US), assumed as basic precepts of our founding … and not an 'agenda'.

I didn't know that my life was a political agenda. I thought it was just a life.

I'm glad I had that one mansplained to me.

But that's yet another different argument.

Yes, if you bought a game to entertain you, and it had things you don't like in it, that would be a problem - for you. But why do you attempt to extend your subjective distaste for something to an objective criticism of its quality?

Well the concept is there, though a lot of the time it is used as an agenda. But that is topic for a different thread I suppose.
