I agree Thrasher as I play the game for the lore, and story mostly. If we compare it to Obsidian's past games I haven't run into any game stopping bugs yet.

The only bug I hated was the SFX looping bug.

The stat bugs I have little tolerance for, and the fact that I can no longer switch party members in and out of my party or sleep at my restored Brighthollow, yeah, time to wait for a patch.

Oh dear, that would be game killing if I couldn't swap party members or rest there. Damn. Sorry to hear it. Did you try the bed upstairs?

Unfortunately, the second floor of Brighthollow is simply a black screen in my game. The cursor remains, the music plays, but the screen is completely black and unresponsive.

And I'm not able to swap any party members out at all. The party menu shows the changes I made, but the game doesn't reflect them. So I'm pretty bummed about all this. Just staying hopeful that they patch these things in the first patch…

Wait I take that back as I just ran into to a bug similar to Fluent, but it happened after making camp & resting. My portraits turned red, and I can't move my NPCs.

I had to load an older save as the new save was bugged.

That's bad, Fluent. I hope my obsessive saving behavior will allow me to rollback to get around any of these problems if they happen.

BTW, I don't rest much in the wild. I fast travel backs to the inn (now brighthollow) for resting. See no disadvantage to doing so except for the backtracking time wasted.

May be that has saved me from having this bug?

Sorry to hear that, Couch. The portraits in my game remained fine and the party screen actually showed the changes, but the characters in the actual game didn't change. Weird.

I'm an obsessive saver, too, but it seems that pretty much at least the past 5 hour saves, if not longer, are all bugged.

Too bad, that sucks. I guess I'll keep traveling back to the keep to rest if I can.

Oh well, a little tedium to avoid some game killing bugs. Hope it's enough. :?

What tedium do you mean? Do you think there's a way to avoid these bugs?

I am thinking if I keep going back to the keep to rest, I'll catch the bug you found before playing too long. Maybe just a lost evening, rather than much longer than that… Just a theory though…

However, if there in an unavoidable event that kills the game, then all bets are off. I doubt that's the case though, otherwise, it would have been fixed.

Mine seemed to bug after I restored the fountain in Brighthollow, so maybe be very careful about building that upgrade. Not sure if it's related, though.

Good idea, though. Hopefully it doesn't happen. I rely on that featuer quite a bit, especially when I have to explore the underground dungeon with limited camping supplies. Having that ability to rest there is crucial.

Again, good luck.

Oh, that is a good explanation, as it is in a nearby zone. Hmmm… I'll put that off, just to be safe. Thanks for the idea!

I've found a few, one of which apparently broke a side quest. Minor Spoilers ahead.

Spoiler

Only one of them really has an effect on the game itself.

There are several broken quests. I have not experienced breaking the one you mentioned, however. The solution to that one:

Well here is a new one.

If I dismiss companions and then bring them back into the party their inventory is empty as is their quickslots. All their stuff is lost, except stuff they are wearing and in the weapon slots!

Reload time…. Damn didn't name save after killing Raedrik. Stupid…

Edit: well I didn't have this problem if I switched outside the house. Odd.

Another 500 MB update was released along with the 875Mb update from earlier. I have no clue what the second update was as the developer hasn't said anything.
