Lords of the Fallen 2 - CI Games Cancels Contract with Deck 13

Ouch. If you read between the lines in this post mortem, you can easily guess that from CI Games' perspective the project had serious problems. It's at least understandable that they fired Deck 13.


Does the article mention that the assets belong to Deck 13? They own the tech, while CI certainly owns the IP.

If the tech belongs to Deck13, that means that CI Games will have to develop a new engine from scratch. Which is not easy. Or they will have to buy one and those are not cheap.

I'm more interested in what Deck13 will do next.
