Default a tactical combat question

I haven't bought the game yet but I heard that the patch in Summer is going to add "tactical combat". That sounded suspicious. What kind of combat do we have now?!

I hope it's not like DA2 where you could only assign one action per team member per turn and never a queue of actions? That would surely drive me mad. But I wouldn't expect Obsidian to be that awful, especially while trying to appeal to old-school crowds.

Please explain what kind of combat there is in the game. I haven't watched anything due to fear of spoiling the game. And I don't know if I should wait for the tactical patch to be released or not.

I think I saw it mentioned in the news here maybe a week ago or more, but I can't find it now. Did I dream of it? It doesn't sound healthy to confuse a dream with reality

Ok maybe it was another game and I misclicked the news. Did any game plan to add or improve its tactical combat in summer (june or july)?

There was an april fools joke talking about implementing TB combat in PoE, that's not it, right?

Wasteland 2 plans to implement perks, traits and "aimed shots" around summer, I believe.

Both games have "tactical" combat right now, though I personally enjoy WL2 combat a lot more than PoE combat.

Haha, I guess it could be! It's still a better version than confusing dreams with reality. And it proves that April jokes actually work sometimes.

Ok, thank you, I was disappointed and worried for nothing.

P.S. Oh yeah that was definitely it, I remembered that the news mentioned "turn-based", rather than "tactical" combat.
