Fallen Enchantress:LH is on sale… Am tempted, sell it to me

Have been tossing up btwn FE:LH and Endless Legend for a little while. The former is on sale at the moment.
Am drawn to it because of the magic and the quasi tactical battles. I'd like if it had a random world generator - does it have one of those or are the maps set? Is it a campaign sort of game like Age of Wonders or like civ where you start on the map and go for the win without a story?
Thanks

I really really wanted to like it but I found it extremely boring. It does have a random world generator, and it does have 2 scenarios to run through though, but I imagine most people play the normal game where it does start off and play like a Civ game.
I do really like the heroes, units, and combat though. Its just that I find the world very boring. If Endless Legend had FE:LH combat, it would be golden

It has no multiplayer, which kills it for me.
Beyond that, it's still based on a Stardock design, which means it has no soul and the core is the core of a game without the game bit in it. It's cold and functional at heart - and then a reasonably talented designer tried to change it around, and it's definitely the better for it.
But it's still inferior to Age of Wonders 3 with expansions and Endless Legend with the first DLC. I'd look into those instead.

I really like the RPG mechanics in AoW - and I'd say it's got more RPG in it than Endless Legend does. But I'd agree the strategy aspect isn't quite as interesting.
EL is also a good game.
FE:LH is much better than Elemental, but I just don't think it has the soul these games need. Maybe I'm biased against it, though, because of the travesty of Elemental and the fact that they decided to take out multiplayer - which I just can't do without in this genre.
