Regardless of the in-game pros/cons of the two I dislike the roll simply because it's ludicrous in terms of immersion (although maybe that texas cop who attacked african american kids is a fan) yet you still end up using it. If they would let me change dodge to the space bar and keep space as jump too I would be very happy. As it is I have to rely on double-tap which can be tricky.
Saw an MMA fighter use the roll last weekend to land a good shot. Though in the Witcher games I never really use it. I personally don't hate or like it, just find when you use it you are more likely to take damage if in a swarm.

Alright, so now that I have walked the streets of Novigrad some more and found Triss, I have to say that there's lots more stuff to do that I initially feared. Like walking into a scene, which starts some dialogue/quest. I was sort of afraid it was all just dressing for quests you could gather on the notice boards or outside of Novigrad. Good stuff.

The problem now is that it seems that my 6GB of RAM might prove too low.
