Fallout 4 will have a dozen companions for you to romancehttp://www.vg247.com/2015/07/24/fall…-ps4-xbox-one/
- Dogmeat can be given commands such as retrieving objects for the player. He can also loot enemies.I know too.
- The leveling system has been reorganized so that perks are tied to SPECIAL stats instead of levels. Having a high SPECIAL stat will provide players access to advanced perks from the start.
- Terminal hacking and Lockpicking mini-games will make a return.
- There will also be 12 companions available in the game and each is a romantic prospect.
- Codsworth, the Mr. Handy robot, is voiced by Stephen Russel. He provided the voice of Garret in the original Thief game.
- Thousands of names have been pre-recorded, which means you can name your character Angela, McFly, or FuckFace.
I know what my character’s name will be, then.

I'm not buying this, unless it has a Super mutant romance. Pick a wrong romance option and she tears your head off…that's how you do romance, Bioware!

Assuming your kid from the prologue survived, what'd happen? You bring a supermutant home and tell the kid "hey, it's your new mom!".

From what I read the spouse and kid die. Of course I have seen arguements on reddit that suggest that what Todd said could be twisted to say no one in the vault survived except your character … so maybe the wife and kid were outside of the vault. But that seems a big stretch. Personally I hope to say good bye to them. My marriage was a sham. She was just a lesbian who needed a cover and the kid was artificially inseminated. My character will be glad to have his new freedom upon leaving the vault. All he needs is his trusty and loyal friend Dogmeat.
Great article - back from July but don't recall seeing it posted here:

Very pleased with everything I read myself. I read somewhere that they pre-recorded thousands of names … I still hope that if you don't want any of them you can pick your own. But then that might mess-up the voice overs. Will be a little disappointed if I can't pick my own name but not the end of the world - sounds like you will at least get a lot of options. Also not like I got to pick my own name in real life either
Read up on the SPECIAL news and fine with it. Think I will prefer the new system actually. Sounds like plenty of options and a great deal of customizing to build a character you want.
