The really odd thing is that, both in Corvega and at least one other spot I forget the name of, you're given the quest to clear it of raiders, but then you get an update that the quest is complete after killing like three of them, despite the fact that many more enemies of the same type are still alive in the map.
I can't figure out if it's a bug in the quest or a weird afterthought where they just threw in some extra mobs after the area and quest had already been designed.

pibbur who thinks that would be boring.
PS. I agree that it looks weird with detailed visceral graphics. DS
PS2. Actually, on the real life server, you can survive multiple shots to the head, depending on where they hit. You can even survive a shot through the brain, if it only penetrates non dedicated areas like the frontal lobe. DS2

*Edit* Of course sakichop and crpgnut had to jump in and reply while I was writing that response.

I have compulsive start-over-it is. I'm on my third restart already
I probably won't see Dunwich for weeks but I kill that Deathclaw without losing a hitpoint!

I traded my almighty sledgehammer for an even more lethal battle axe. When you get the perk that lets you hit anything standing in front of you, that thing is beyond amazing.
I carry 3 weapons….one sniper rifle, one seriously lethal battle axe, and a laser gun with unlimited ammo. Retired all my power armour, now I'm a leaper/swiper, and gotta be able to move fast.
I detest snyths, but Nick is allowed to live. That dude is beyond cool. I gave him a melee weapon but the moron won't use it, /le sigh. I'll still keep him, he never flinches in a fire fight!

How are the companions? Are they fleshed out at all (FNV), or just lifeless mules after a quest or two (FO3)?

Which companions exactly?
Apparently there are at least a dozen possible, yet I found only 3 in my 40 hours.

Now body shots they can take a ton of them.

Anyone know of a way to remove the stealth indicator from the HUD? I think I used a mod to disable it in FO3, but I can't remember exactly. I hate seeing "HIDDEN" in big green letters right in the center of the screen when I'm trying to sneak around.

IMO this is the best Fallout 4 review out there:

pibbur who above all don't like reviews on youtube. As a before mentioned grumpy old man he accuses the young ones of not being able to read anymore.

1) He's not been paid, which puts him above 99% of the reviews;
2) He's not a fanboy.
Even though in the first ten minutes he's pretty harsh, he presents then the good aspects he salvaged out of the game and actually gives it a thumbs up, with some due warnings, of course.

unfortunately much of my short playtime thus far has been trying to solve technical problems!
turn it down to medium settings and cranking down antialiasing definitely helps

One ending achieved, got a reload ready at a particular spot and next I'll be loading that and seeing if going with an other faction gives a different ending. Based on the ending I've experienced so far, I see a couple of ways/areas any expansions might go. At the end I have eight suits of power armour, 32 cores (because using them basically takes any challenge away for me), and roughly forty legendary weapons/armours. I know for sure I'll still be stomping around the lands looking for any spots that I missed the first time.

I would guesstimate it took me around 55 hours in total. I'm not done with it by any means though, I want to check for other endings and I by no means hit every point on the field, of that I'm certain. I also did not plough right through one faction, I had done quite a few quests in two lines, went with a third line and won it, now going back to see where the other two branches might lead. My own fault for going against the grain too, I knew days ago that every damn synth deserved death and I blinked on that decision.

Spoiler tags please on anything related to the story or factions.
55 hours is really short for a Beth game to me. I prefer to milk it for as long as possible because I know I won't be replaying it for a long time. I'm going to try to delay finishing it for at least another week.
