Default Indie RPGs - Vote for Your Indie Game of 2015

December 2nd, 2015, 17:58
You can vote now for your favourite indie game of 2015 at IndieDB.

Welcome to the 6th Annual Indie of the Year Awards, a celebration of the years finest indie games chosen by you and us. For the next 4 weeks it is up to you to vote for your favorite indie games so that they may make the top 100 which will be announced on the 11th of December.

Last year we saw the popular free-to-win MMO Robocraft take out first place, followed with the tactical shooter Insurgency providing a noble runner up and Five Night's at Freddy's 1 & 2 finishing third on the podium. Remember every year on top of the players choice which ultimately decides our top 10 we also run an editor's choice where the folks at IndieDB choose our ten standout projects from across the board.

It's been a fantastic year for indie games and we look forward to counting your votes!
Thanks Eye.

More information.

Thanks but THANKS A LOT.

Instead of playing Fallout 4 I spent too much time looking at over the 1000 games they have to pick from. Actually, you have to be selective in their menu options (RPG, released, Indie) otherwise you have over 24,000 games to peruse.

I found one gem called Shoppe Keep
http://store.steampowered.com/app/381120/
that I will be following on Steam, But I have to stop now and get back to work on Fallout 4. Lands to explore, baddies to kill and settlements to settle.

Voted for Legends of Eisenwald. It was my favorite game of the year, indie or not.

I did check out that one you found and, LOL, that's some weird simulationist/RPG crossover niche product that does indeed look like it has some merit of potential. Or it could just be facebook game number 1 billion, lol. If it becomes popular I expect to see similar mini-games in future triple A RPGs

I didn't play a lot of games released in 2015 and the only indie one was Thea so I guess that is the one I will vote for .

yes, that game got a lot of coverage here, but it's a "turn-based strategic survival game" so I never checked it out. It has some awards though. So what was it that drew you to that as your time-filler at the time as opposed to the billions of RPGs? What did it have that all the indie RPGs lacked?

The lead programmer for the card game Gwent in TW3 was the one that worked on the card part of the game in this game.

The game itself for me does not have a lot of replay in it but the first complete play through was a lot of fun.

If they were able to expand on the crafting and more building upgrades as you progressed it would be a great game.

I am doing a second play though on a large map, but it is all the same stuff from the first play through so I have lost some interest in it.

The Great Whale Road, Death Trash, Labyrinth, Thea: The Awakening, Dark Flame, are some of the games I've seen on Twitter calling to vote.

AoD made it to Top 100 and round 2. We'd appreciate if you take a moment to vote.

Age of Decadence has made a lot of happy gamers, I hope you do well. I haven't had a chance to play it yet and probably wont before the voting ends, but I think you deserve a lot more votes than an average indie game just for the whole back-story to production, sheer dedication and determination with a singular vision to produce a wonderfully unique product and for delivering a non-generic setting to-boot. Had this been 2013 you'd probably near the top without a sweat.

Legends of Eisenweld, Age of Decadence, and Fall of the Dungeon Guardians were my top three picks of the year. Fallout Four comes in eighth place for me.
