Default Wartile - Armor and Weaponry

In Kickstarter update #2 we hear about the armor and weaponry of Wartile:

The Armor And Weaponry of WARTILE

Hello again! WARTILE continues moving towards its funding goal, and we’re very happy to see all the positive feedback we are getting from our backers. We’ve also been seeing many questions about the armor component for figurines, so today we bring you a closer look at the armor and weapon system for WARTILE.

Armor Themes

Most armor types and pieces are part of sets and as we create them they are in fact themed into categories, making each set a very different experience from the rest. Some armor sets can only be equipped by figurines of a certain experience level (or higher), as to keep the experience balanced for all players. Some armor sets will only be unlocked from Battle Boards at special locations, while others will be unlocked at the workshop as you buy armor pieces for your collection by using the in-game currency you obtain during your adventure.

Armor Types

Currently we have three armor categories that generally define the modifiers applied to the figurines equipped with the extra protection.

Light armor: Padded cloth or leather covering the body. This increases defense by a small amount, but doesn’t impact movement or the figurine’s attack skill.

Medium armor: Thick leather or chainmail. A strong piece of armor that will provide a good defense bonus against most attacks. It doesn’t affect a figurine’s movement, but it does slightly reduce the figurine’s attack skill.

Heavy armor: Plated mail armor or very thick and strong patches of fur covering the body. Very high damage reduction, but it impacts a figurine’s movement and reduces its attack skill.

Each armor category has a different impact on a figurine’s stats, so while heavy armor will not only increase the figurine’s overall defense (making it receive less damage), it will also lower its attack skill, thus making it harder to hit the enemy. The Light armor works almost the other way around where it only provides a small boost to defense but allows a figurine to move around without a problem and its ability to fight is not hindered.
