Yeah, only 8 teams go home after the group phase. The 6 4th place teams in each group, and then the 2 worst 3rds. Slovakia and Northern Ireland are sure to proceed already, as 2 of the 4 "best 3rds". Albania and Turkey's fate depends on today's games.
I really hope Ireland gets to go on. They deserve it, if only for their awesome fans.

I like croatia from what i've seen. But traditional they fail somewhere in the half of the tournaments. A lot of great players but they seem to fail to make a good solid team.
In general i am with Iceland and all the underdogs.
So happy Spain got a spanking from Croatia. Football is not lifestyle, fancy haircuts and attitude(or maybe it is?)

Spain really underestimated the opposition there, a well deserved victory for Croatia. Those guys played their hearts out.

Italy v Spain and Portugal v Croatia should be good games in the next round. Ronaldo has to come good sometime! Quite looking forward to Wales v NI as well. England have got Iceland - we clearly should win that one, but I've seen a couple of the Iceland games and they're actually a decent team. I didn't watch the game tonight but they beat Austria - I definitely didn't see that coming!

Now that was quite a thriller! Really enjoyed watching it. I really didn't expect the penalty shootout to go that far. Buffon even almost got the last one.
