Dead Space 2 is just as good if not better. Stay away from DS3 though.. they went in a different direction with that one, and the results were very disappointing.

DS I is the greatest sci fi action survival horror, hands down. Second one good enough, but the signs were already there. But not all were wise enough to see it.
