Beautiful Whiterun will make your Whiterun all autumn-y, and there's another autumn Whiterun mod, but it crashes for me because it's way too demanding or it conflicts with something else. But for Riften, I use Towns and Villages Enhanced - Riften, and an assorted few other Riften texture mods I picked up (and have since lost track of). Oh, and obviously a good ENB is essential. I've used ENB customizer to make a homemade version of The Wilds ENB.Originally Posted by NephologistGaaah! I knew I forgot something! I can't believe I forgot the Trollshaws.
Anyhow, a few additions to the list:
Trollshaws in LOTRO. I think you knew this one though![]()

And I've never actually played Disciples III, but hearing you mention this kinda makes me want to try it out. I remember the elves in Disciples II had kind of a gloomy, olive-colored forest, but it never really struck me as truly fall-like for some reason…

Neverwinter Nights 2 started at the Harvest Fest! It was a fun time had by all …until my childhood friend was killed by zombies, and a chunk of metal lodged in my spine or something (spoiler for NWN2) sending me on an epic journey of self-discovery.

I've just started the Witcher 2 again in preparation for 3. I'm on the long voyage to checking out the Roche path and the enhancements from all of the spiffy upgrades that I missed first time around.
Some of the early morning dawn moments filtering through the forest of the waking town of Flotsam made me recall this thread.
It might not be technically fully autumnal, bit it certainly gives me that vibe at that time of day.
Whilst location wise I'm presently at the opposite end of the spectrum you might say (tis thankfully getting warmer during a most peculiar Spring here) the article definitely brought back some good memories of games played during that time of year. Cheers!

Very nice article. I have the same type of fondness for winter, so Skyrim was like heaven for me.
On a small note, Might and Magic six had seasons for some of their foliage, In particular the apple orchards. And while the leaves would change color, they would never fall off the tree.
