Best free Video/DVD player?

Currently using Vista's Windows Media Center. When playing downloaded HD files i didn't notice different in video quality when compared to winamp player. However sound quality different among Winamp, Media Player Classics Home Cinema edition and RealPlayer. I didn't touch windows audio volume, use the programs default as well as same hardware settngs(Xi-fi and Logitech 5500) - Initial impression seems favoring toward MPC Home Cinema.[QUOTE]http://sourceforge.net/project/showf…kage_id=195276

I use VLC (should be available from sourceforge). Cant say anything about sound quality or how well it fares compared to Vista's built in software as I'm a hearing impaired XP user, but using VLC means I wont have to struggle with Codec hell as I had to with the old Media Player…

try KMPlayer, it comes with built-in codecs..
