Actually I did but I got bored so it was not a long session. I never understood the thing about the series. Allthough Im not really a big fan of "pure" adventure games. Ive played few here and there but they have always been a niche for me.

Did you play Day of the Tentacle? it's the most excellent of the bunch, up there with Monkey Island 2.

I think DOTT is the best adventure game I've played ever. Partially because of the clever use of time paradoxes. Just three words: "the vacuum cleaner".

Seconded, though for me Grim Fandango and the Monkey Island series came close.
