I almost got a boner due to Jaz' beautiful hoard of books, comics and games. What is the edition of your Talisman Jaz? I vastly prefer the 2nd.

And while my comic books aren't in those pics, I just discovered a bunch of Image comics in the attic and parked them under a chair in my 'man' cave …

That's a great selection of Fighting Fantasy, Jaz! I threw mine out years ago, a decision I regret, so I only get my FF kicks from Tim Man Games these days. Talisman of Death was my favorite of the books I think, but any time I see any of the ink drawings from the first ten books or so it takes me immediately to a happy nostalgic place.

Ahhh yes, Talisman of Death, No. 11 … my favorite stand-alone FF was (and still is) Creature of Havoc (24), and I really, really love the Sorcery! books
.
I have game books of all sorts, but Fighting Fantasy are my favorites. Of the non-FF game books, I quite liked the Sherlock Holmes series… and the two I wrote, of course
. The pic is pretty bad, but I think they are the right-most books in front.
EDIT
I was especially enamored with Iain McCaig's illustrations. And then he went on and became a Star Wars production designer. Any similarities between Night Prince Zanbar Bone (on the cover of FF book No. 5) and Darth Maul … no?
EDIT2
..and I loved Ian Miller's illustrations. He didn't become a Star Wars production designer.

That's a great fact about Iain McCaig and yeah you can somewhat see the similarities with the skeletal guy on the front of City of Thieves and Darth Maul! I didn't try the Sherlock Holmes books, but sounds there are at least two I should have tried
. I can see why those books have pride of place on your shelf.

Oh no, sorry if I spouted nonsense, but I didn't write the Sherlock Holmes books (they are in the back row on the shelf, by the way) … I just like them!
I wrote two of the (German language) game books accompanying Markus Heitz' "Dwarves" novels, both long out of print
- "Sterne der Tiefen" (which would translate to "Stars of the Deep One" (singular, female), actually, not "Stars of the Depths" … but the title is deliberately misleading), and "Botengang" ("Errand").

…but they are not complete. Several issues are missing, even from my favorite three series (all iterations of Bloodstrike).

That's easy - Amazon or ebay to the rescue
EDIT: I hate wen I'm distracted so I post before saying everything.
Bloodstrike issues #23 and #24 were never printed. So you probably don't miss anything.
Maybe you don't have collected #26-#30?

But at least I discovered my treasured 'Man called A°X' comics in this heap. Not Image, though, Malibu, but hey! Who cares?
…unfortunately A°X was another series that was canned because nobody but me wanted to read it.

Never heard about that one. Will try to find it on auctions and online antiqe shops.
It's not about if people want to read it, I want to read it but I don't even know such title existed.

Search for Man called A-X, with a minus , and you might find it somewhere. Seems like they had actually planned to make a TV series from it but canned that idea as well .
EDIT:
This standee is currently not in my den, but once my mom cave has been spring cleansed, it will be a proud part of it again :

Rolling chair normally on the plastic is pulled away. Big chair for watching the TV above is almost all out of frame but you can see a little of one of the arms. (Flat arms - better for putting food on!) Stereo system to the left of the computer. AMAZING rat's nest of wires behind it all.
I've gotten a new PC and TV since then. Probably the same keyboard since the one I have now has no paint left on a bunch of the keys. Still got a few RW DVDs left. And I've dusted… I think. (Checks depth) Yeah, definitely dusted.
