Farflame spotted some Star Citizen info on DualShockers:

Star Citizen Gets Fantastic Screenshots and Videos Showing Update 3.0, Javelin Destroyer and More

<h4 class="excerpt">Star Citizen shows off its planetary content, the Aegis Javelin destroyer and more future goodies.[/h4]Chris Roberts’ Cloud Imperium Games released a batch of new screenshots and videos showcasing some rather interesting upcoming elements for the game.

First of all, we get a batch of screenshots from update 3.0, which will introduce the game’s planetary tech. Alongside the screenshots we also get a video showcasing of the schedule for the update has been determined, giving an interesting look at the workflow of the studios under the Cloud Imperium Games umbrella.

The detailed schedule can be found here, and we learn that the currently estimated release date for 3.0 is on June 29th.

Depends on what you heard about it last time

I believe they've said it will be out this year, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Personally, I expect S42 to take at least another year - and my own personal estimate for Star Citizen MVP is late 2019 or 2020.

Mocapping for Squadron 42 is supposed to be done, most of the ships they wanted in it are done (some need revision I believe), female armor/model/animations aren't 100% yet, AI is not done yet.

Planets/environmental arts aren't done and they had to hire new environmental artists after Behavior (a sub-contractor) decided to stop working on Star Citizen to work on their own game last December. That slowed down asset creation a lot.

Chance of SQ42 releasing in 2017…very low.

They're waiting to create a planet based on Grimoire but that developer is tied up with a small bug that may take a day or two to fix
