Doesn't look like it is going down well with Steam reviewers. Anyone here playing it?

I missed that! Adding microtransactions to a six year old single player game?
What fresh madness is this?!

Uhm if that is true, that is horrible. I just finished the main game about a month ago, but I won't buy this content if the above is accurate.

So they're trying to milk…about 20 people who bought this? ( half of which are their own employees, likely )
How are these guys still in the business?

Well, I'll be saving my money then. Glad people policed this nasty content right from the start.

The overreaction over this is hilarious.

That feature is accessed from the main menu, so it's not something you see in the game. If someone wants to purchase extra items then let them. I couldn't care less.

There's no doubt I'll pick this up the next time I play 2W2, but I'm not going to start a new play through just to look at a high level mod. I would have been more interested if this mod was spread throughout the content. For instance, tying the content to the various labyrinths and giving those more of a story.

Isn't there another one coming anyways? I thought they announced 2 of them awhile back.

Yeah, forgot about that…what a pain in the ass. Dungeons did have a good ambiance to them, kind of third person Diablo feel to it.

Eh? There is only one released before this. So it's two dlcs for two worlds two. Almost feels there is a riddle to it.

I'm not talking about the Pirates of the Flying Fortress expansion. I thought there was another DLC in addition to CotT being released.

They announced they will release two Expansions/DLC's, and started developing Two Worlds III last year. Frankly I cant wait to play more content in this game setting.

As JDR mentioned the micro-tranctions are optional on the main menu not in-game.

That goes without saying Couch.

I was trying to explain subtleties of word aphorisms to JDR here.

Except, if Steam reviews are to be believed, there's a thing: they also removed the console. Because otherwise you could just give yourself all that stuff they are trying to sell. That means a feature we had got removed. Not exactly a big feature but taking a feature people like away and replacing it with one they obviously are not going to like is going to generate hate.

Still an open question: do you NEED the store to get through the new content they added?

Something that does interest me is that this works at all. Is it using Steam to do this or have they got their own payment server set up? Do you have to tell the game your credit card number or something?

Me too. I'm not going to play the expansion just to play it, but I will buy it/play it the next time I play 2W2. I probably will wait for the next expansion too though.

Well of course they did. It wouldn't make much sense to have both. It's not as if they removed any regular content from the game though. Those people are just bitching because now they can't use cheats to give themselves extra stuff.

Call of the Tenebrae is a standalone game so everything is new. Afaik, the marketplace is just there for people who want extra goodies.

*Edit* Apparently it's not standalone which is odd because several of the reviews I read said that it was. I don't know if the new quests/areas are integrated into the main world though or if they're separate.
