In Kickstarter update #2 for Demiurgos the results of the Vote of Truth are shown:

Update II: First results of our "Vote the Truth" experiment

We have now finally released the first results of our "Vote the Truth" experiment. They can be found in the campaign description. Watching the development over the last few days was exciting. It seems like most of our backers lean towards a more collectivistic social system that perceives society not just as a "purpose-alliance" of individuals but as part of a greater task. The general welfare of the righteous is clearly central for all of the voters.

  • Liberalists: 17%
  • Socialists: 49%
  • Imperialists: 34%

It's a shame the campaign is going so slowly. The dev didn't even ask for a lot of money, so I really hope he can get all the amount.

It's not a shame. When I saw that campaign title I've expected an emulator. Why? Because this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demiurge_Studios
Demiurge Studios is an American video game developer company, founded in 2002 by Albert Reed, Chris Linder and Tom Lin. It is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.[1] The company has helped other developers such as Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Gearbox Software and THQ[2] create multiplayer maps for their games, but is best known for porting Mass Effect to Microsoft Windows, released in May 2008.

No emulator = no $ from me.

But anyway, the company was acquired by Sega a couple of years ago. When it comes to porting games on PC, Sega… Yeah. They are intensifying the process!

Thank you for your support.
I think games like this just don't reflect the zeitgeist of the masses and it is hard to reach those who can appreciate it.
Also we unfortunately did not get to be a "project we love" on Kickstarter, making it harder to attract attention.
It definitely is way too early to give up and we still have a few aces up our sleeve!

Its easy to be a socialist on paper because it's the assumption that others will sacrifice for "the cause" and it won't affect you. Or worse, socialism because it means others will sacrifice for you while you do nothing. When it's you working 60 hours a week for the same gain as the ones that don't work at all the picture changes :)
Such an interesting concept for sure.

This looks like something I would buy on release but not early access or kickstarter.
