Blizzard has been busy with Starcraft Remastered and has documented this process in some video logs. Also work has been done on the animated portraits for the Terrans, Protoss and Zerg.

This hype campaign alone must have cost several times more than remaking this archaic has-been game.

Yeah, there's nothing special about this at all. At least they're pricing it very cheap.
I'll probably pick it up for a trip down nostalgia lane at some point. It really was a great game back in the day.
