"… thing about Morrowind is we did far more than we could, far less polished than we should. It's a miracle that it works at all… there's too much, and it's like jazz… a product like Oblivion - far better software… but Morrowind… oh there's so much delicious nonsense in that." ~ words of wisdom by K.Rolston

That goes without saying. The alternative would be a problem with Grimoire - which doesn't compute.

Looks like there's about as much Item info on the wiki as there is in the game :/

James every item has readable properties and information. You just need to stop being whiny and play around a little bit.
- For item stats: select ASSAY in context menu, drag item onto icon.
- For additional information (à la "examine"): select LOOK in context menu, drag item onto icon.

Oh, nice.
That's a good tip!
I never would have dragged anything onto the icon since you click the icon and get a prompt to click an item.
I guess he really should have a manual for something like this
He just doesn't seem to know the codes and conventions modern games have laid out. He's very much in his own world, it seems
Still, at the risk of sounding whiny, would it really be so hard to have mouseover info pop up on a little surface?
It's probably only 600 hours cos it takes so many extra steps to do anything

You've got it all wrong SirJames.
It's the designer's job to make the game more appealing by making information-hunting part of the fun!

I hadn't worked out the item dragging thing either. That's going to be a useful tool!

Of course, of course!
I apologize for not seeing the appeal sooner and will henceforth view all issues I have with the games systems as personal flaws within myself
INCLINE!

So, what Metallica album do you recommend in place of the games audio?
Can you still download them from Napster, or…?

If there are any issues they're definitely on your end because mechanics are intentional. Problem is you don't have genuine interest in this game, my friend.

Yes, the intentional nature of mechanics puts them beyond question.
Meaning any deliberate design decision ever made is actually perfect.
It makes a ton of sense, I promise!

Why do you play DOTA2 when Heroes of Newerth is the best MOBA?

So I started rolling my new party this morning before work. Saurian Beserker is in, as is a giant warrior. I wasn't planning on taking a bard, but rereading this thread maybe I should do. I'm just rolling six chars so I can bag the recruitable NPCs (although I'm not going to follow a guide so I just have to hope I find them!). I'll post the final party on completion for general interest / ridicule

Apparently bards are really good. I read this a bit late, though. My party ended up
human fighter (sirjames!)
dwarf zerker
[racename] cleric
lionar ranger
rat thief
eyeball wizard
With bonus rolls at least 25/30 then into hitpoints. I really don't know if its good yet. I feel like I might have liked two clerics.
