Sadly no. I'm scrapping the project altogether. The game slows down the longer one plays, and it still doesn't play properly for some people even with all-vector graphics. I'm convinced it's a limitation of Flash and that this game is too much for the program.
I am pleased, at least, that I've got a functioning demo to add to my portfolio.
