Default Beautiful Desolation - Lights, Camera, Action

May 26th, 2019, 11:40
A new update for Beautiful Desolation shows off some new screenshots.

Lights, Camera, Action!

We have unchained ourselves from our desks to bring you a quick update on our progress with BEAUTIFUL DESOLATION.

While Nic continues to implement the events in the game I have been detailing and creating the cinematic videos that appear throughout the adventure.

These videos will be fully voiced, and using facial capture, we hope to bring the characters to life.

Enjoy a few non-spoiler animated gifs:

Looks very nice and I would probably be quite hyped about it, if I didnt play Stasis.
Because I was really hyped about that one either, but in practice it didnt manage to hold my attention. Im not sure if boring would be correct word, but it didnt work for me for some reason.

And if someone is not aware of that, these are no RPGs, its isometric adventure games.

I quite liked Stasis as a linear adventure game. I thought the environments and atmosphere were great, but the puzzles were very hit and miss (often miss). I've still got high hopes for Beautiful Desolation - if they've captured the same kind of atmosphere but improved the puzzles and story it could be pretty special.

I quite liked Stasis too. For me too puzzles were so so but the story, the environments did the trick.
