LOTRO is killing me
June 4th, 2008, 03:25
OK looks like I've burnt out. Made it to level 36 for one guy and 21 for another. Can't find the motivation to continue. Primarily because of lack of solo content for level 36+. Also, there should be multiple regions for different class development. I just can't find the energy to take my 21 into areas my 36 has done.
Fun while it lasted.
I'll take another crack at it later.

Sorry, but I just couldn't help but log in to laugh at this a bit..
I've seen others go through this in other games.
I tried to like LOTRO when it came out, and I can't honestly say it's a bad game.. it just did not capture the 'feel' for me, and I felt it just lacked a 'soul'. It was just decent game mechanics in a very predictable flat environment, with some bumps and depressions in the scenery to 'mimic' mountains and valleys, and predictable walls and doors to restrict access until you were 'ready'. For a game with 'realistic graphics', everyone sure looked the same to me.
Just all felt very 'plastic' to me, people were trying very hard to make themselves 'enjoy it all'. Maybe I'm too jaded from the fantastic "LOTRO" movies..
