Default Two Worlds II - Shattered Embrace Release on December 6

November 24th, 2019, 10:56
New content for Two Worlds II will be available on December 6 on Steam. The new chapter Shattered Embrace will be available as DLC or as a standalone version:

Shattered Embrace

Picking up immediately after the events of "Call of the Tenebrae", you and your companions are stunned when the mythical, long lost Elves suddenly resurface on a remote island! But surprise quickly turns to alarm as the Elves reemergence brings a secret from the past with sinister echoes of the Tenebrae Order's ancient evil! Now, with evil bearing down on the land and the unity of the races broken, the Shattered Embrace may spell doom for all of Antaloor!

With Dar Pha's troubled mind assaulted by buried memories of her Elven heritage and an elite strike force of Adramelech's zealots bearing down on you, you and your friends race to the Elven kingdom of Shadinar, only to find that the truce between Elves, Humans and Orcs has been shattered. In the kingdom of the Elves, seeds of distrust and prejudice planted long ago have borne bitter fruit and evil now wears many unexpected faces…

Explore the Elven kingdom of Shadinar on a vast, tropical island, where sunny, seemingly tranquil beaches are guarded by advanced machines and Elven magic. Pair with the Captain of the Royal guard and play detective in the biggest settlement in Two Worlds history as you investigate a dark plot and a brutal murder that threatens both the Kingdom and the royal family! Travel to lush forests and the steppes to hunt wild beasts outside the city walls for sport and ingredients, but don't forget to equip yourself for your adventures and pick up side-quests in the bustling merchant port-town of Freehaven. Then, prepare yourself to enter a forbidden dimension, where a blood-red sun casts its sickly light on Hell itself and an ancient, slumbering god begins to stir!

Still beating the dead horse. Very interesting indeed.

They already have multiple times.

Most of the old staff left to join CD Projekt.

Old news really.

Anyway the revenue from both new & old games keeps them going.

The game that endures even in the after-life, apparently.

I welcome it, so far I've enjoyed all the Two Worlds. As long as they keep making them, I'll keep playing them.

How about all games have a single huge lootbox you pay for up front that contains all the options, items, skins, unlocks etc? I'd pay for that!!

I think this game gained some kind of renewed popularity with the multiplayer crowd.

Didnt like Two Worlds games. My impression of the game was surely affected by Gothic and Elder Scrolls games, which were, in my eyes, vastly superior on all fronts.

They work on Two Worlds III as well. I wonder if they manage to release it before TES VI.

I rather enjoyed the first Two Worlds game, with its bonkers weapon-stacking system (combine two similar swords to make a better version of the same weapon, ad infinitum). I kinda lost interest in the second half, as it got rather samey, but it had nice graphics and some quite badass weapons/armour.

I was looking forwards to the second, but bounced off - never got past about 2hr play.

I enjoyed both games…back in the day. The problem with two worlds is graphics. It looks really dated at this point and no tweaking is going to save it. The other problem is the DLCs are tacked on at end game; although there is a new game mode for this latest DLC. The problem with that is that you pretty much need to play through the whole campaign again to get in the right mindset for the DLC's. It is really hard to just jump into the DLC of a game you last played 4 years ago and TW2 is a long-ass game. It can take well over 100 hours to get to the end game if you're even moderately thorough.

I loved Two Worlds Two and I'll be happy to bump and grind with orc/elf girl but I'm not sure I want to play through that whole thing to get to her. I might buy the standalone version just to see what's up with it.

Two Worlds games are not master pieces but they had their charm and I had loads of fun playing them I don't think I will pay full price but I will definitely pick it up at some point.

This. The first game also had good character development in general, as I recall.

I enjoyed all of them, until Call of the Tenebrae. That was, I think, a very cheap cash grab and lacking much of the charm that the rest had.

Guess these games will always have a cult following. Anyway I also enjoyed playing them, but can do without the humor. Anyway I'm glad they ditched the old English.

So a bit off-topic but this site translates words into old English.

How fitting, given that necromancy was one of the best things for mages in the game.

I remember trying to get into the game, but it was just way too trashy.
Though I did like the idea of their magic system with the components - the execution sucked of course, with that cryptic and unusable UI.
