Sorry, I haven't read the whole thread.
But I'd like to have some kind of alchemy skill, because I always thought that mixing potions was fun.
And not only of course "the usual suspects" : A magic drink, one for strength, one for healing: But also "low-level" mixes like food or beer mixed with honey = Mead …
Or just a mixture for purification of other food …
Or side-effects like morale going up … Or down …
During the early development of Divinity, we were very creative inventing things.
Within this thread presenting the different Stories Fom Early Development, you can find such a list at the very beginning under the headline called "Interaction with objects".
And this is Kiya's Alchemy guide to the game, revealing more possibilities.
