Confused on nVidia driver

I have G92 8800gts 512mb and still using the earliest G92 nVidia driver 169.06 released on November last year.
While on the official nvidia page said the newest 175.16 driver:
Which is the best drivers so far and is 175.16 works with for G92 8800gts card?

well it is a beta driver, but its working great on my 7800gs
and i don't see why it wouldn't work for a more modern card.

I was rcently similarily confused - until I found out that I use a beta-driver I once downloaded too.
