Default Sequoia Capital invests $4.5M in Duel's owner

Duels is free, but like ZT Online, Duels "makes money from the sale of virtual goods." Kinda like the pet rock.

The story of how Duels secures the financing boggles my mind. Largely because someone at Sequoia is geeky enough to want some Duels branded virtual armor and weaponry.

Is anyone playing this game? I've been playing for a few hours and it's quite fun, even without spending any money on it. It reminds me of and old RPG: the story is told in words and the only graphics are the pictures of your avatar/items and some fighting silhouettes.
