Origin - Museum

There is a fan made remake of the first Privateer, you should give that a run. The second one is pretty easy to get to run in DosBox, but a bit hard to find! The graphics are pretty nice though, even for its age.

A bit hard to find? I've got almost every single Origin game in a crate! 
(Yeah ok, I'm bad at getting rid of things…)
It's the CPU speed that's a killer with P2 - even with dosbox it's hard to get right and the game seems rather easily affected by it!
I can't see them bringing back wing commander as the space combat genre is dead market-wise. Ultima though.. definitely a market on consoles and some PC.
