King Arthur?

Other than the incredibly lame name, this looks like it might be an interesting new turn-based strategy game set for late next year--I've never heard of the devs/publishers, Neocore. Anybody know anything about them? Anyway, here's the info I came across:

I'm hoping it will actually engage with the myth and folklore rather than treat this as another generic pseudo-medieval fantasy where tree-hugging, pointy-eared twits are given the label "sidhe."

Coming out on Nov 12 2009 on some assortment of digital distro platforms. Several nifty dev diary videos on Gametrailers.

The actual Arthurian mythologies have been raped and glossed over and ignored and sidestepped so much, that a bit of loving attention to the true original mythologies would be soooooo refreshing…

Does this actually exist? It keeps popping up in the 'weekly release' lists …

It does seems interesting, although more a wargame than a rpg, at first glance at least. The dev. diaries are unusually thorough, I'm watching them right now.

Quite the impressive artwork there. I have to say this one looks very promising. Notice the site doesn't really mention whether the gameplay is TB or realtime—the only source for it being turn-based is that Worthplaying article—hope that's correct as I'm not very good at RTS and the way they're talking about dealing with the world and mythology is causing me to almost drool.

I'm being told that It's both : turn based for seasonal heroes adventuring, , armies movement on the England map, management etc, and RTS for tactical fights.
The rts part has four speeds, and a pause system. On the lowest speed it's supposed to be slow enough to balance the game for players like me who _really_ suck at rts.

I guess I'll wait just enough for the first reviews, but it is tempting, indeed.
edit : typo and some of my bad english.

Thanks for the clarification. The tweaks to the RTS element sound good, especially I guess if you're dealing with large armies and lots of factions, and everything else sounds even better. Definitely putting this one on what is getting to be a really long list of games worth wanting.

Is it only available on Steam? Or will we be able to lay our hands onto hard copies as well? Anybody know?
EDIT: Ok, I see there's a more comprehensive thread in the News Comments section.
My question still stands about I'm hoping to see it on disc, though.

Me, too. Nothing wrong with DL's but I prefer to have a physical copy of my games.

According to the reports I've heard it plays like the bastard child of HoMM and the Total War series.
A pity there doesnt seem to be any demo…

I'll buy it. I can't stand it anymore, it looks too much like Mark of Chaos and yes Total War, I guess. I played Total War for about 30 minutes and then uninstalled it. Hated that game. No magic and just the realistic units isn't my cup of tea. Everynow and then it's ok, but I just hated that game beyond any reason and loved Mark of Chaos.
I'll buy it this weekend and let you know what it's about.
