Here you go the final requirements:
At least now they're more realistic than Vista's.
The RC will be (officially) released on the 5th.
- 1 GHz processor (32- or 64-bit)
- 1 GB of RAM (32-bit); 2 GB of RAM (64-bit)
- 16 GB of available disk space (32-bit); 20 GB of avaiable disk space (64-bit)
- DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

A bit heavy on disk space, if it's supposed to be netbook-friendly. Mine only has an 8GB SSD (plus two slots for SD cards, supporting max 16GB each). Yay for Ubuntu Netbook Remix…

I'm not sure maybe there'll be a netbook edition or Home Basic/Starter will planned for net books.
I'm quite sure thought that PCs with lower specs could handle 7.

I tested the RC (62bit version) for several days now. I put it on another hard disk, away from the Vista installation. The installation gone very well without much effort; my wireless connection work immediately right after that, except the sound system - where i required to install the Creative X-Fi driver (32bit version in compatibility mode). There is some warnings and messages when installing 32bit programs including Steam client - but in the end working fine after some tweaking.
