Thanks for the link. I'm surprised there is no release here. I played the demo for a few hours and I think the game is excellent. Graphics are simply great too.

So that ebay link won't let me register to purchase. All the addresses are for the UK and immediate area.

This blows. How can this game not have been released in the US?

You have to go to the US site and search from there: Click!

I guess the reason is that all reviews claimed the game sucks.

Most reviewers don't know what they are talking about. First off, the horse combat. I quickly figured out that if you charge your opponents and hold the attack button he will prep the swing for a reaper move. I could hit up to 4 attackers in a single swing at full charge and do 50% more damage than on foot. They mention "move the mouse horizontally to spin the horse". That's exactly right, do that and make charge passes and you are deadly effective.

The voice overs arent great but they are better than say "Two Worlds". WASD combat makes up for it anyway and I love the horse. Quests are typical.

I think its great. Thanks for the help, I bought the new one off EBay from London.

I finished this game, the story is excellent based off of a real sci-fi novel, though translated marginally well. I only wish the technology aspects were introduced earlier and with more variety then near the end of the game. I can easily see a sequel that would take this game to the next level of goodness. The quests need to be more varied with multiple solution paths. Diplomacy is used sparingly or so transparently that you don't notice it hardly at all. Some key improvements to the game or in a sequel woul dmake it great.

I think it's in retail in Germany, but I'm not absolutely sure.

Mine showed up last night. Nice metal case! After skimming the manual I was very surprised to find out that they implemented blocking in melee combat. It is "spacebar" to block. No wonder I was dying so much when I wasnt fighting on horseback! Also "ALT" will cycle targets ala Blade of Darkness.

Overall, pretty spiffy combat system for a game that at first glance looks like a simple Diablo clone. Hardly! I'm going to play Drankensang first though.

$39.99 is pretty steep. New on ebay was around $22 US shipped. There were a few around new and used.

I played quickly the demo and felt it not enough polished and too much action oriented for me. The lack of polishing comes from so many unclear points. The mini tutorial didn't help me much at the end fights with horse or not was still confuse. Quest goals are vague, I wonder why we don't have more explanation on goals locations. The dialog system is totally weird, you need choose your option only by seeing a part of your dialog option, only the first line, that's totally weird some times. I wonder how they succeed produce that after so many dialog system made before them in plenty game and not suffering of such weird design.

Yes I don't know what I'm talking about but that's exactly the problem, the game doesn't welcome you at all.

EDIT: I tried more the demo and beside too many small fights, weird dialog system, tutorial not well done, the end of a book truncated, I see some points that made me feel it less like a garbage. To get through fights I use the labor horse and that make the task easy and the horse has plenty health and endurance and even heal along time. Another point was to find the secondary mission giving me a disguise and allowing to avoid many fights. Other than that, the horse and the disguise roles are intriguing and the special attack you seem able to learn raise a bit of curiosity. But the in game help is so confuse it's perhaps a wrong localization. Well mixed bag but seems interesting anyway, if there's not too many fights and they aren't to simple and too difficult to learn then I could stick to it.

But that's a good example of how important is the beginning of anything, games, novels, and so on. Its weird beginning could make flee many players.

I forgot which buttons to press, either arrows, right click, or space bar but YOU CAN SCROLL THE DIALOGUE DOWN. Yes, you will onlhy see the first 1-2 lines of dialogue both for your character and the NPC, you need to first like right click on the dialogue window, then scroll it down, or something very close to that, I finished it months ago.

There are sevral little tricks like that in the game that the manual either treads very loghtly over or skips.

I'll try but cannot see how it could work as you see stuff like:
1 - blabla blabla blabla…
2 - bloblo bloblo bloblo…

I don't see how scrolling could show more at least for first line, or is it horizontal scrolling?

If there are tricks, a list could help.
