Battle.net 2.0 launched

The new Battle.net network is online and the merging of different Blizzard accounts has started. Part of Blizzard's plan to have everything under one roof. You can register your Blizzard game serial numbers and can download the client from anywhere. Very cool feature.

And it seems like the first of the Starcraft 2 Beta invites have been sent off to random accounts. Meaning the SC2 really is around the corner. Awesome news, and I hope I get an invite.

I wonder if the Beta will include both single and multi-player maps…

Just multiplayer. Which is fine by me. I don't want to spoil the campaign before it's in perfect shape. Or good enough shape. I don't think singleplayer requires thousands of players to test it. I think the Beta is more for balancing the game and seeing how Battle.net 2.0 fares with so many people online.
