While skimming the The sith lords restoration project Mod forum once again I found a post by project lead Dashus (on Top of the link…) from march 17th

That message got everyone on the boards talking again and guessing what it means. I think that was the whole goal or it could be free chocolate in two weeks for the beta testers That is the current theory.

I've been checking the main page roughly once a week or two, but I rarely browse the forums there, so I missed this one.

When it's done, huh? But… but… but what will I wait for if this is released? Hehe, kidding, although I probably won't have time to replay KotOR2 anytime soon… too many other games to finish.

My guess is that this is, in fact, an April Fool's joke (and a bad one).
