I'd want a flight voucher if I were seated next to this guy on this trip.

I guess so. Perhaps I should do it too if I will ever fly on a plane in summer

That would be nice especially if I was all sweaty - just let it all steam out. Perhaps the captain could also take the plane for a quick dip on the ocean to cool it off. That would be service worth paying for.

Blames and blames. He said he has bipolar and that he forgot to take his meds. He also said he didn't remember anything.

Now, the thing about not remembering anything might very well be a lie. Because bipolar doesn't affect your memory, but it doesn't make you do crazy shit like take off all your clothes and then not respond to a flight attendant either. What does make you do stuff like that? Drugs do. Did he take any drugs? Well, he had a beer, but a beer doesn't effect you in that way either. But maybe his meds would make him act funny in combination with alcohol (same principle as anti-anxiety and alcohol).

I'm by no means any expert on the subject (I've read the wikipedia article on bipolar), so I've no idea how good this theory is.

Yup. I'm bipolar - and granted, there are different types - but I've never experienced anything remotely like that. There are times I've done weird/crazy things (such as not sleep for days, or throw away money on completely random things I didn't even want). But if he takes his meds consistently missing one dose in the morning isn't going to send him off the deep end and make him attack a flight attendant unless he has the most severe case I've ever heard of.

Nah, perfectly normal behaviour

In my life, I've wanted to take my clothes off many times and not respond to women who start nagging about it

A friend of mine is bipolar, and boy, did she have blackouts (before she was diagnosed with it). On one occasion, she 'woke up' in in the middle of the night… in a park, wearing nothing but a hiking backpack, several klicks from home.

Wow, guess I'm pretty lucky then, especially considering I don't medicate it. I mean, I've had my really bad episodes where I wasn't fully in control of what I was doing, but I've always had a decent recollection of events that transpired. I've never lost time or anything - well, no, technically not true, there was one time a doctor gave me an anti-depressant, and that did not fun things to me. I don't remember much from when that happened.

That may have been the case, but a cool beverage might have worked to keep him from disrobing. Otherwise, If I were sitting next to him, I'd be yelling to the other passengers if anyone has a loincloth handy or alternatively, a blindfold. More than likely, he was drinking while taking meds and he probably passed out and thought he was sitting in his living room in front of the television, and wanted to get comfortable.

I'd flip out if some guy sitting next to me on a packed airplane started removing all his clothes. Weird story, and I'd want a voucher for a free flight.
