Game combos you would like to see
July 11th, 2009, 11:01
Now that we've got Oblivion+Bioshock, what other combos are out ther (or what would you like to see, especially if you could combine the games into one, like M&M 4 and 5)
1. Sims 2+Postal 2
Now you can do what you've always wanted to with those sims.
2. Dog Rescue+The Thing. Learn the real nature of dogs.
This one comes with a free "Learn Norwegian" package, so you can understand what those Norwegians are saying (And of course discover the slightly unorthodox pronounciation)
Others?

@magerette: A nice application of statistics: The average amount of text int the two games combined is … still quite a lot. But whatabout Ultima 6 and PS:T: The same amount of text, but now you have to write your answers to get it: name, job,….
@bkrueger: Imagine a portable with all those games preloaded. Including "Arthur's quest" and "Plumbers don't wear ties".
@jemym: You've given the term "real time" new meaning.
@rithrandil: Now, you've made me loose my sleep. That one was really scaaaaary! Almost evil. *ponders*

Keepsake + any decent non-action role-playing-game with the focus on social and non-combat skills. My dream !
Kepsake has actually a *very* rich world/setting, which is imho ideal for fantasy-based role playing games !
Far Cry + Monkey Island - a dream as well !
Tropico + Fantasy Setting. I'd love this, too !

Off subject, Tropico 3 is coming out soon, right? And it's bringing the series back to Banana Republic-land?

You're setting the bar too low, JDR. (Plus, the Olsen twins are a bit young for this old goat) Back in the early 90's, they had some FMV interactive games based on porn. I don't remember any titles, but I remember them being advertised in the back of my Computer Gaming World magazines. If you're going to go down a road, take it to the end.
I'd be scared to mix some of my favorites. Sometimes adding more produces less. For instance, While there are lots of aspects one could introduce to Civ2 (a story, better combat, some RPG aspects for your ruler), I'm not sure you'd end up with a better game. Compare Civ2 to Civ4 for proof of subtraction by addition. So, with that in mind, let's try these:
Wiz8 + Bioshock: the best RPG evah gets a facelift, some combat tweaks, and a much more interesting world
Dungeon Siege 2 + Majesty: Take a very fun but mindless aRPG and add the strategic complications of indirect control.
X2 + PvZ: How's that for a mixture? I'll take X2's gameplay and give it a little more sense of urgency, but most importantly an interface that doesn't take a PHD to learn and master.

Sorry. No pearls of wisdom in this oyster.
Dallas Cowboys: Can we be done with the offseason? / / Detroit Red Wings: At least we get a new coach

Exactly what makes the scary part is of course open to discussion.![]()

So, with that in mind, let's try these:Anything that could fool you into thinking we got a new Wizardry game would be welcome. But, btw: Wiz8 is not THE best RPG, since that position belongs to PS:T. Wiz8 comes in second along with U7. I'm european, and as you are well aware of, we know these things.

If Civ2 or Alpha Centauri were updated with modern graphics and a few more modern features (more than 7 civs at a time, etc) I'd still play them every day.

I'd like to have a Daggerfall-sized RPG with Thief-like stealth gameplay in the Command & Conquer universe. Or Arkane remakes of RotH and Hexen. Or a SoF2-era Raven remake of Kingdom Hearts 2 (because I'd love to see for myself if Nobodies really have no hearts). Or an RPG in the Earthsiege universe, preferrably by Square-Enix.

OK, since no one's done it yet…
Dungeon Lords and a turd. The game within a game is to find out which is shittier.
Haha, yeah, real funny, I know
