7 Alchemist's Rings Quest

Hello everyone; I am playing version 1.72, I have found 5 of the rings. My problem is access to the locked room ; I try to pick the lock and get the dialouge, I don't have the right key. Where do I find the key for this room? I am also not finding the rings in Gurock's room; they are not on the weapon rack. Any ideas or suggestions are deeply appreciated. Thanx, Robie
