I watched a concert last night featuring Duran Duran, from about three weeks ago. Forty years of performing and they still sound rather great!
 
Something I noticed lately is the legendary rock and metal bands from the 70-90's are much better then the majority of new ones nowadays. Damn 70 and still rocking. o_o

I think that's true, TBH. I do find many modern iterations of the classic bands are a case of emulation (and sometimes over-complication) to ever diminishing returns.

That's part of the reason I hit a stage of listening to other types of music that didn't initially appeal to me.
